Nowadays, it seems as though it has become commonly accepted that 
"everyone goes to college".  Chances are though, if you 


Parents all around (including mine) are probably going to be all up in arms after I say
this, but not everyone should be going to college.  There's a reason for 
this.  {\em College is expensive}.

On the way home last Wednesday night, I was walking down "frat row" (a street containing fraternities), and I was accosted by several drunk frat boys and sorority girls, and the overarching sounds of parties in full swing.  Now, I'm not one to deny a party -- I'm a pretty mean dancer when I get to it (which the ladies love), but this was a {\em Wednesday Night}, with classes in full swing the next day.  As you've guessed, I found myself wondering "why even come to college, if this is how you are going to act?"


"haha I'm free from my parents!"

"you are free so that you can learn to behave responsibly and take personal responsibility for your own future"



You see, there is this mentality people have, which is "if I go to college, I've got it made"

I'm sure parents around the world will be up in arms about what I am about to say, but {\em not everyone should attend to college}.  


if your mentality is that college is for getting drunk, partying, and getting laid,  then you should not be attending college.  Those activities can be done quite readily at home.



The conclusion is:  Education CANNOT MAKE UP FOR LACK OF MOTIVATION or DIRECTION.  If you have neither, then college is merely an expensive playground.
